This is the fourth in this series tited "Cosmic Connections".

The rings of a pine tree represents its yearly growth. I am fascinated with this concept of concentric circles and thus started my love for Mandalas. A mandala consists of a series of concentric forms, suggestive of a passge between different dimensions. In its essence, it pertains not only to the earth, but to the macrosm of largest structural processes as well as the smallest. Concentric circles share a common center or axis. Patterns of concentricity are also seen in nature as rings radiating outward in a cross-section of tree trunks.  On a personal level we have our own orbits in which our lives revolve around a person, family or group. Butterfly effect is used to describe the idea that small acts can create large results.
