The Depth

Medium used is acrylics with knife and brush work on canvas.

This is based on the Grand Canyon of USA, the world heritage site located in North Arizona, which encompasses 446 km of the Colorado river and its adjacent uplands. My representation of this spectacular natural formation is done using acrylics and knives and a little brush work to show the canyon walls with its different colored stones gleaming in the sunlight. There is a small cove on the left hand side formed by small waterfalls and the mighty Colorado river on the right hand side of the painting.
